Research On The Ability Of Strategy Manager And How To Improve The Ability

With the increasing Global Economic Integration, the competition among the enterprisesis becoming more and more intense. At present, more and more researches and practices havedemonstrated that enterprises must pay attention on the development strategies if they want tohave the superiority of competition. As the constitutor and decision maker of strategies, thestrategy manager plays a very important part in business and strategy management. Therefore,standards of selecting and developing the strategic managers have attracted the attention ofmore and more Human Resource Managers.By studying the theory of strategy management, this article explicates the meaning andconstitution of a strategy manager, analyses the basic quality of a strategy manager, definesthe differences between strategy manager and an entrepreneur, and elaborates the importanceof a strategy manager to an enterprise. On the basis of deep analysis to related articles, thisarticles starts with the narrow stage of strategy management, presents what qualities a strategymanager should have in the field of strategy planning, strategy implementation and strategycontrol. On the basis of the stage of strategy management, this article builds a system ofevaluation for evaluating the ability of a strategy manager, the system includes the abilities ofstrategy environmental analysis, forward-looking, decision-making, resource allocation,strategy implementation, strategy track and strategy correction etc. This article also uses theGIOWA to build the model of evaluation. At last, on the basis of evaluation results and theshortage of strategy manager, this article gives the countermeasure for enhancing the ability ofa strategy manager from three aspects: strategic planning, strategic implementation andstrategic control.
