Soil Geochemical Characteristics And Ore Prospecting Significances Of Taojinping Gold Deposit In Xupu,Hunan Province

Taojinping gold deposit in the south-east of Xupu County, Hunan province, whose geotectonics is located in the western part of Jiangnan ancient island arc belt of the Proterozoic era Yangtze plate, or in the middle of Xuefeng arc ductile shear zone. The strata in this area expose mainly the upper section of Wuqiangxi formation of Neoproterozoic Banxi group (Ptbnw2), where Au, Sb and As mineralization mainly originate in.On the basis of analyzing the ore-forming geological backgrounds of the study area, in combination with geological characteristics of Taojinping gold deposit, by means of the soil geochemical survey, the anomaly characteristics of main ore-forming elements has been identified and the prospecting target area delineated. The main achievements are as follows:1.This mine is located in the western part of Jiangnan ancient island arc belt of the Proterozoic era Yangtze plate, or in the middle of Xuefeng arc ductile shear zone, whose geotectonics is in favor of Au, Sb, As, and other elements mineralization.2.Correlation analysis of major regional ore-forming elements shows that As, Sb between Au has a certain relevance, and As, Sb distribution of abnormal area significantly larger than Au anomaly, therefore, As, Sb could be indicator elements for prospecting for gold deposits. In addition, As, Sb, as gold deposits front indicates, its large areas of the zone distribution suggests that may have a large gold deposits in the lower body.3.The secondary halo anomalies distribution characteristics of Au, Sb, As and other elements, mainly controlled by the North East to the ductile shear zone.4.According to the main metallogenic element anomaly, indicating element anomaly, and considering the abnormal location, abnormal distribution characteristics, abnormal displacement and topographic relationships, combined with geological conditions, a selection of prospecting target area has been chosen. 5.In the preferred target area, by drilling engineering verification4-layer gold veins have been found, which Indicates that the working effect is good.
