Nowadays, with the advancement of technology and arts, there appears anincreasing demands both materially as well as spiritually. The concept of technologyand arts only is obsolete and not enough. The integration of mordern technology andarts can make up for the unapplicablility of pure arts. At the same time, it can add someaesthetic features by getting rid of the rigidity of techonlogy. So, it is really inevitable tointegrate mordern technology and arts.This essay firstly reviews the history of technology and arts, and their process ofintegration, with the conclusion that the two are actually in the relation of alternateeparation and combination during the time of development of both technology and artsfrom the orign till present. At certain periods, there are mutual need betweentechnology and arts; during other particular times, they progress independently,however, the evolution of technical artisticalization and arts technicalization is all withthe advancement of society.There are internal and external causes of the integration of mordern technologyand arts.On one hand, in terms of internal causes, mordern technology and arts areinteractive as well as mutual stimulated. On the other hand, as for the external ones, thegrowth of society, especially economy also plays a very important role in theintegration of mordern technology and arts.At present, the integration of morderntechnology and arts takes place in all walks of life, including film and television,photography, sculpture, painting, calligraphy ect..Therefore, the integration of mordern technology and arts is essential and fatal,which can result in various influences to the maturation of both technology and artsrespectively.
