It is known to us that landslide is a common geological disasters,it has many characteristic,such as hazard severity,high speed travel and occur suddenly.Now,the stage of Qianjiang Wujiayuanzi landslide is between basically stable with unstable.Given that if dangerous situation happens, more than1200people and10600million yuan will be jarpotized. So,it is very important to effectively prevent the occurance of the landslide. Taking the failure mechanism,stability analysis and prevention countermeasures as the focus,the author use transfer coefficient method and the strengthening surface to discuss the landslide.The results are as follows.1.Based on the boundary of landslide,material composition and the deformation conditions,effect factors are analysised,which reveals the disaster mechanism of Wujiayuanzi landslide.2. The stability of the representative sections of the landslide are analyzed by the transfer coefficient mothed.It is shown that landslide will be state in natural state,but unstable in the case of rainstorm for a long time.That is coincides with the real conditions.3. Numerical simulation results show that:the landslide is local creeping in natural,while the landslide surface showed a strong creep-crack type deformation, and the slip band has appeared in the rock soil interface under the heavy rain,which coincides with analytical method.4. As we can see that the two methods reflects the risk of rock soil interface,which is determined to the strengthening surface.5.Based on the result of stability analyses and the condition of technology,time limit and progect economy,the treatment (such as drainage,retaining wall,anti-slide pile) schemes to landslide are suggested. At the same time,numerical analyses on the stability of Wujiayuanzi landslide before and after treatment are carried out by means of midas/GTS software.According to the shear strain,plastic zone and the maximum horizontal displacement, the results reflect that the management measures can play a good effect.
