With the rapid development of modern industry, the request of forging is becoming higher and higher. The main transmission mechanism of general machinery press is crank-slider mechanism, because of its limited mechanical properties, it will make high noise and vibration, and the life of molds is low. According to the requirements of a company in Jiangsu, we will analyze a six-bar linkage press and a hybrid-driven press, the key works are as follows:1) An overview of the development and theory research of the press at home and abroad was given. Also the background and significance of this subject were presented.2) First,we select the six-bar linkage mechanism as its driven mechanism,then,we use complex vendor method to analyze its kinematic characteristics. We give the derivation process of the displacement, velocity and acceleration vector equation, and then use the powerful mathematical software to derive its kinematics analytical solution.3) We use ADAMS to establish the virtual prototype model of six-bar linkage press, and then optimize the mechanism with ADAMS, we select the design variables and determine the objective function and constraints.With the optimization function of ADAMS,we avoid the complicated programming process, improve the efficiency and quality of analysis.4) According to the optimization of physical dimensions, we use Pro/E to complete the three-dimensional solid modeling and assembly modeling of the press, and give internal structure of the press and multi-point forming presses.Besides, we give a brief introduction of several key parts of the press.5) The static characteristic of body of the press is analyzed. The finite element model of the body is established, the stress and the strain of body at working is computed by finite element software ANSYS.6) First, we select the two degrees seven-bar mechanism as the hybrid-driven mechanism. Then,we analyze the existence conditions of double cranks and we give the forward and inverse kinematics analysis of the mechanism.
