With the development of science and technology, and the improvement of industrial technology, the quality of the productions is more and more attention by manufacturing enterprise. It important to improve forging machine’s performance witch widely used in industrial production field. In the current commonly used mechanical press, multi-link mechanical press are usually used, multi-link mechanism witch in press interior as a core component of press, some factors should influence press’s performance just like badly designed of mechanism, then could influence the quality of productions. Aiming at this problem, on the base of kinematics analysis and kinetostatical analysis, rigid-flexible coupled model is established, then simulation analysis and the multi-objective optimal design of mechanism is conducted through ADAMS, the performance of the mechanism have obviously improved.To begin with, elaborated the features and advantages and disadvantages of kinds of press, and introduced home and abroad research status of press. Make a kinematic analysis on punch mechanism of eight-bar linkage press by analytic method, build a kinematic mathematical model of mechanism, in order to know the kinetic characteristic of mechanism. On the base of kinematics analysis, considering the existence of external force and inertial force, in this case, make kinetostatical analysis on mechanism.Because of forces could act on the press in actually work, connecting rod inside of press would make elastic deformation by force. There will have a certain margin of error when if build rigid body model on linkage mechanism between the actual work condition, in order to conform the practical running state, flexible processing part rods of linkage mechanism, build rigid-flexible coupled model, establishing the necessary of rigid-flexible coupled model by compare the simulation result of rigid body model and rigid-flexible coupled model. For the sake of multiple demands just like improving motion stability of mechanism, reducing the energy consumption, aim to the optimization design research of eight-bar linkage punch mechanism of press, the optimization design aim at the minimum of mechanism speed fluctuation and pressure angle in impulsing stroke, the minimum of average of crank power and the minimum of maximum of acceleration absolute value in running process. The multi-objective optimal design of mechanism is conducted through ADAMS/Insight, by comparing before and after optimization results can prove that the performance of the mechanism have obviously improved.On that basis, develop a graphical user interface use in comparison and analysis of simulation results by secondary development of ADAMS. Achieving input parameter by customize dialog box, change the geometry size of model by input length dimension before and after optimization of connecting rod, angle between two connecting rods, accomplish simulation and create kinetic characteristic curve of displacement, velocity, acceleration automatically. By contrasting each characteristic curves of before and after optimization, could analyzing kinetic characteristic of punch mechanism intuitively and verifying the rationality of the results of the optimization analysis.This paper provides theory basis for the optimization design and simulation analysis of multi-link punch mechanism.
