| China is one of the countries that frequently suffered from the natural disasters in the history. Since the founding of the PRC,the CPC and governments at all levels attach great importance to the prevention of the natural disasters, and at the same time, they emphasize that the prevention and reduction of the natural disasters is not only an important part of the social construction, but also an important task that we are facing.Since the founding of PRC, our party and the government pay extremely attention to the prevention and relief work of natural disasters, and they take it as one of the government functions work. Under the correct leadership of the CPC, we have made remarkable achievements through the joint efforts of people of all nationalities. After the reform and opening up, science and technology have an unceasing enhancement along with the development of the economy, and the ability of responding to the natural disasters should be strengthen. At work, we continue to deepen the awareness of the disaster prevention and mitigation, gradually form ideas on the disaster prevention and mitigation with distinctive feature of the era, and make the effectively practice on disaster prevention by leading the prevention work. Summing up experiences of disaster prevention and mitigation is of great realistic significance to reduce the losses caused by the disaster, and at the same time it enriches the theory of disaster prevention and provides reference for the prevention work in the future.This article is mainly studied on the significance of the natural disasters, the effects and the experiences on the prevention work since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it is based on the ideas and instructions about the natural disasters prevention of the different central collective leadership, from Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, to Hu Jintao, combined with the relevant documents of the CPC Central Committee, State Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs and so on. |
