The hydraulic drilling machine is a kind of technology-intensive constructionmachinery which make mechanical, electronic, hydraulic together and is mostly used infull hydraulic transmission. Through the intelligent electro-hydraulic proportional control,the efficiency of the drilling work was improved effectively, the ability of the drillingcontrol and the load adaptive was enhanced effectively, which made the hydraulic drillingmachine more lighter, much flexible and much mobile. With the continuous developmentof the national economic construction, The hydraulic drilling machine was widely used inopen mining, tunneling, grouting support, long distance geological prediction and otherdrilling operations as a kind of important construction equipment.Through the full hydraulic drive system, the hydraulic drilling machine make use ofthe crawler device to realize walking function such as forward, backward and turn, the fullhydraulic drive system is a kind of open hydraulic circuit which is composed of variabledisplacement pump, electro-hydraulic proportional control valve and travel drivehydraulic motors. The power consumption of the travel drive part is most serious in thedrilling machine. If set inappropriately, the utilization efficiency of the drilling hydraulicdrive system will be reduced. At the same time, the developing of hydraulic drillingmachine goes towards automation and intelligent, so the research of walking-drivensystem has theoretical and practical significance.Though the theoretical analysis and calculation of the drilling-walking-driven system,the electro-hydraulic proportional valve-controlled motors program for the drilling travelwas received, and according to the selected the key hydraulic components, themathematical model of the walking-driven was built based on the hydraulic elementswhich were chosen. Through analysis the characteristics of the control model for controlsystem stability issues, the PID controller and fuzzy PID controller were designed. Thehydraulic drilling machine walking control system with fuzzy PID controller would getbetter control property through the comparison and analysis of the control characteristicsof the two controllers. The comparison and analysis was based on the simulation of typical input signal and load signal by MATLAB Simulink tools. So the research can provide atheoretical basis for the intelligent control of the drilling machine.
