New investigation are conducted from the following aspects, including the manufacturingprocess of diamond saw blade, the orderly arrayed process of abrasive and the optimization of orderlyarrayed abrasives interval. The new-type orderly arrayed diamond saw blades are fabricated and showoutstanding advantages over the traditional conventional ones in the machining experiments.The main researches completed in the paper are summarized as follows:(1) A set of manufacturing process is developed to fabricate the new-type orderly arrayeddiamond saw blades. The diamond abrasive, metal powder, metal matrix, pressure-sensitive adhesiveand elastic plate appropriate for the experiments are selected. The new-type orderly arrayed diamondsaw blades of Ф125mm outer diameter are successfully developed.(2) The matrix formula of the orderly arrayed diamond saw blade appropriate for the experimentsis designed. The new-type orderly arrayed process of abrasive and liquid-phase sintering withpressing continued is developed. The sintering temperature of the orderly arrayed diamond saw bladesof Ф125mm outer diameter is8300C in superior area,8200C in middle area and8350C in inferior area.The sintering process of orderly arrayed saw blades is that firstly the pressure is applied of15kgf/cm~2in10seconds, then the temperature is preserved in60minutes and the pressure is applied of45kgf/cm~2in the last10minutes.(3) According to the properties and requirements of material, the orderly arrayed landform ofdiamond abrasive in diamond saw blade is optimized. The results show that the width range value ofthe side material layer in orderly arrayed saw blade is0.42mm~0.70mm and the optimal intervalvalue of orderly arrayed diamonds is0.80mm~0.90mm.(4) According to the optimized landform of diamond abrasive, the orderly arrayed diamond sawblades under different parametric conditions are produced and prepared for635#granite cutting testin contrast. Through the actual cutting test the factors such as diamond density in the middle materiallayer and so on that influence on the sharpness and life of the orderly arrayed saw blades are studiedand it confirm with the optimized results of orderly arrayed abrasive. The process performance of theorderly arrayed saw blades and traditional conventional ones are compared.
