With the continuous development of China’s economy and improve people’smaterial standard of living, Relief products of the community needs increased, Theembossed design and NC programming in industrial production and daily life becomesmore extensive, Manufacturing carving as an important measure to enhance thevalue-added products introduced into the processing industry. This paper mainlystudies UG software as a platform for the key technologies in the processing of CNCrelief.UG software comes with the secondary development of tool sets and VC++high-level language as the development tools developed a functional conversionmodule, so that the image feature can be analyzed, and to achieve the conversion oftwo-dimensional to three-dimensional model. The module can be input geometry andbitmap images, image processing, graphics and images to generate three-dimensionalrelief model also available pre-processed graphics and images to generatethree-dimensional relief model.Grayscale conversion, image processing, smoothing, sharpening and edgedetection method, a comparative analysis of the effect of different processing methodsand algorithms. Relief modeling Boolean operations and the Z--Map data model of thealgorithm, The establishment of a relief model of relief modeling based on geometricinformation, according to the vector of the geometry, Boolean operations; Thegray-scale information-based relief modeling the relief model, based on gray-scale artmap using the Z-Map grid method.For the particularity of the engraving process, the feed path, cutting tools, toolpath generation process of the control parameters, cutting parameters analyzed in detail,combined with the model features all the process made a reasonable choice to generate a tool path path, andsimulation processing, the unity of the relief modeling and CNCmachining.
