Ceramic engraving is one of types of Chinese traditional ceramic arts.Traditionalhand-carving processing crafts can not meet the needs of the market seriously,because ofembossed pattern single,over-reliance on personal technology and poor workingconditions.In recent years, with the rapid development of CAD/CAM/CNC(Computer AidedDesign,Computer Aided Making,Computer Numerical Control),if the introduction of theadvanced CNC engraving technology into the traditional hand-carving techniques comestrue,it will improve the production efficiency;shorten the cycle of product developmentand production;enhance the accuracy of product processing;reduce the production cost,tosome extent,and realize ceramic carving production automation, scale, systematic.Thedissertation makes further researches on the technologies of CNC engraving process ofceramic body from the actual production. The main contents are as follows:For brittle ceramic body material,the article makes analysis of the material removalmechanism of ceramic body and crack path model;discusses the effect of cuttingparameters on cutting force by a large number of orthogonal test,and researches theeffect of cutting parameters on the quality of the machined surface by observing thesurface breakage rate.This article developes a horizontal-axis engraving machine for theceramic rotary body,based on the principles of CNC machining, using the PC+controlmodes of software;then established a modeling technology by the Introduction of thethree-dimensional raster scanning technology into the body modeling, improvingproduction efficiency, solving the hard problem of modeling.The geometry modelingtechniques and bitmap modeling techniques are proposed by studying the linear andcircular modeling functions and the effect of the six kinds of ways to get curved surfacefused and based on gray scale information and geometric information.The modeling ofcomplex details art relief is achieved.Finally,the Simulation of relief CNC processing is realized on the softwareplatform.According to the simulation results,the Carving knives,machining parametersand machine parameters are choosed reasonably,and obtain reasonable tool pathfiles,then realize CNC carving processing of ceramic body.
