Spirooxazines exhibit excellent photo stability and fatigue resistance, so there are wide applications and great scientific values in spirooxazines.Six kinds of spirooxazine compounds have been synthesised in this thesis. Their structures were confirmed by FTIR and 1HNMR. Their photochromic properties in solvent are also studied. Several kinds of polymers such as PMMA and PU dispersed spirooxazines films were fabricated, DOP were added to enhance the property of films. The dispersion of spirooxazines in films were observed by SEM; their ultraviolet absorption spectrum were investigated using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, and their coloration and decoloration kinetics in films were quantified by first-order rate law and the kinetic constants were calculated; the glass transition temperature of films was studied by DSC.These results showed that (1) the maximum absorption wavelength of spirooxazines increase with the polarity of solvent, called as red shift; as the electron withdrawing group induced to indoline ring, the maximum absorption wavelength of its open decrease.(2) the dispersion of spirooxazines is better in the films contain DOP. The coloration and decoloration rates of SP-PMMA, SP-PMMA-DOP films are faster than that in PU films; however, the fatigue resistances of SP-PMMA films are weaker than SP-PU, SP-PU-DOP films. (3) The addition of DOP enhance the dispersion of SP in polymer films, the coloration and decoloration rate of films are also increased, but decrease the Tg of films, in addition, DOP didn’t affect the fatigue resistance of films. (4) As the electron-donating group induced to indoline ring, the coloration rate increase but decoloration rate decrease, but induce a electron withdrawing group is an opposite.
