| As a new method to mastery of new techology, Reverse engineering(RE) provides agreat convenience to improve product design. The application of RE technology notonly can improve the technical merit and the processing efficiency, but also can enhancethe economic competitiveness, so it has great practical significance to developing thenational economy and progressing the science and technology of China.This paper did a theoretical and practical study on the key technique of the wholeprocess of reverse manufacutring for parts with complex surface. The main contents areas follows:1. The key technologies of complex surface digital measurement in reverseengineering is studied. Based on summarized the measuring segmentation planning andfeature-based path planning for different types of surface, combine with mouse surface’scharacteristic, proposed using parallel path method to gain points cloud, this method isachieve by using scanning probe to sweeping mouse surface. The result shows theeffectiveness of this work.2. After analysis and comparison the current point processing method, a polygonboundary method that can eliminate noise points speedily is explored. The methodeliminstes noise points speedily outside polygon boundary as well as keeps the realpoints inside polygon boundary, and improves effieiency of eliminating yawp points.Meanwhile, a minimum distance method that can simplify superfluous points efficiently,thereby provide great convenience to surface reconstruction.3. The theory and method of commonly used curves/surface reconstruction arestudied,based on Imageware software, the process of constructing high precisionNURBS curves and surface are analyzed, take a mouse as the example, following theidea of “points→curves→surfacesâ€, the process of surface costructing are practised.4. NC programming is accomplished with UG/CAM. The new approach that threesteps of mouse machining are cavity milling entire contourã€fixed contour millingsuperface and Z-level milling side surface. After post processing, the program is exportin the form of G-code.5. The virtual machine toolsã€tools crib and fixture is established by using VERICUTsoftware, based on the simulation environment, the dynamic machine simulation is carred out and verify the accuracy of NC-code, after that, the tool path is optimized andthe production quality is checked up. So the complete virtual machining process isachieved.The above research proves that this method not only has good software compatibility,but it also simplicity of operator. In addition, it largely shorten the engineeringdevelopment cycle time, and improve the processing efficiency. The whole peocess ofmouse processing is demostrated with a typical example complex surface partsmaching. |
