With the rapid development of Chinese industry, engineering machinery has alsobeen developed rapidly. As an essential transmission in many engineering machinery,the demand for all aspects of the gear has become higher and higher. Gear should notonly have high accuracy and service life, but also supporting heavy load, high speedand low noise and so on. As a kind of gear processing method, form grinding cancomplete the grinding of gears and achieve the processing requirements at the sametime. Form grinding machine adopting form grinding technology has become moreand more important for its simple structure. However, form grinding machinedeveloped independently by China is still in developing stage. Therefore, in order toimprove the quality and efficiency of processing, continuous optimization andimprovement of gear form grinding machine need to be completed.The main contents of this article are as follows:1. Parametric design is used for the gear. By changing the key parameters of gear,the3D model of the gear is regenerated in order to provide simulation processing pathand the size of the reference for the gear with different parameters and to provideassembly references and kinematic references for the virtual assembly and kinematicsimulation of gear form grinding machine.2. Based on the virtual assembly of gear form grinding machine, it could bechecked whether there are problems among all levels of parts. On the basis of virtualassembly, the kinematic simulation of gear form grinding machine is completed byadding all kinds of kinematic connection pairs and driving motors. According to theresult of the simulation, it could be checked whether various parts of gear formgrinding machine exist interference and the volume of interference. On the basis ofestablishing the motion trajectory of the key component, it could be checked whetherthe trajectory is optimal in the kinematic process. According to the final result of theanalysis, the optimization of mechanism or component with problems is performed.3. Through analyzing various dynamic characteristics of inner wheel frame, it could be checked whether they can meet the processing requirements of grindinginternal gear. On the basis of this, the characteristic changes of inner frame wheelwhile grinding the outer gear are analyzed by changing the processing conditions so asto find out the problems that may appear. In view of the existing problems, inner wheelframe could be optimized. According to the result of the analysis, it could be checkedwhether the outer wheel frame could meet the processing requirements of external gear.4. A contrast experimental research on the same gear form grinding machine isperformed in order to verify the dynamic characteristics of the wheel frame impact ongear machining efficiency and quality.
