Gear form grinding has many advantages, for example, high efficiency, goodprecision, Multi-purpose and so on. Therefore, it attracts more and more attention.Under the current science and technology support, CNC Gear forming grindingmachine has gradually become the mainstream of the high-end gear grinding machineproducts. But the domestic research on CNC Gear forming grinding machine is notdeep enough, the depth study of CNC Gear forming grinding machine is much-needed.This paper sets the YK73125CNC gear forming grinding machine as the researchobject,aiming at improving its machining efficiency and precision. The static anddynamic characteristics of major critical component were investigated by finiteelement analysis and testing experiment.In this paper, The main research contents and achievements are as followings:1This paper has been doing research on the main column NC slide unit and thegrinding system of CNC gear form grinding machine, and the structure design hasbeen finished.2The grinding head parts weight was estimated by CATIA software, and underthe maximum stress, the grinding head static analysis was carried out by ABAQUSsoftware. Through the analysis of grinding head stress distribution and spacedeformation condition, the parts of grinding carriage which need to optimizationdesign was found.3The modal analysis was carried out for grinding head, and the preceding sixsteps natural frequencies and mode shape of the structure are obtained, which lay afoundation for the study of grinding carriage and optimization design.The weak linkand optimization point was further pointed out by analyzing each vibration mode.4On the point of basis for the static and dynamic analysis of grinding head, firstof all, from the perspective of the overall structure, optimize the grinding carriage overall structure design, and then studies the influence of grinding carriage dynamicand static characteristics with the grinding carriage back frame structure wall thickness,weight loss window size and thickness, and the waist muscle thickness and size, thevalue of the parameter was final appropriately selected.5The vibration situation of grinding carriage is studied. And grinding carriagevibration acceleration signal was measured during grinding process. Through theanalysis of signal processing, the rationality of the grinding carriage structure wasverified.
