With the continuous improvement of living standards, the water resourcesprotection consciousness improve continuously, so people pay close attention to waterquality on-line monitoring system of research and development, but town of waterquality monitoring has been the weakest for water quality monitoring department.Because our country rural area with regional is disperse and relatively lack of relatedfacilities, villages of drinking water real-time monitoring was basically in the blank.The former water quality monitoring instrument was basically traditional single typeand sample, but the operation is more complex and difficult to achieve the change ofcontinuous monitoring water quality with the limited application. This paper designs adistributed monitor system with the consideration of the characteristics of the villages,which is an integration parameters on-line water quality monitoring system base onvillages that can make the monitoring center continuously and round-the-clockmonitoring water quality conditions.By using low power consumption PIC18F6722MCU, the paper designs a moreintegrated on-line water quality parameters villages monitoring system, which joins thedata acquisition in sites and remote data monitoring. According to the system, it couldrealize the functions of monitoring and displaying water quality parameters of chlorine,turbidity, temperature, pH value, adding communication and other comprehensivefunctions together. That the low consumption of components and two wire of powersupply mode for the whole system reduces the power consumption. The main studycontents of the paper are as follows:Firstly it analyzes the drinking water process and extracts the key parameters.Based on the understanding of the principles of the water quality inspection and thesensor’s working and the signal characteristics of various parameters, it choosesappropriate sensor.Secondly according to the result of the investigation to the perimeter of theChong-Qing town, it puts forward architecture of integration parameters on-line waterquality monitoring system for the villages with the combination of conventional waterquality monitoring system and the characteristics of field-bus.Thirdly in line with the monitoring system architecture, it designs system hardwareframework and part of the hardware circuit, gives the design principle for single-chip microcomputer circuit, the power supply circuit, watch-dog circuit, external real timeclock circuit, EEPROM storage circuit, A/D circuit, signal processing circuit,communication circuit, man-machine interface circuit and corresponding circuit.Fourthly according to design hardware circuit, it designs software architecture withthe hierarchical structure to enhance the system software expansion, gives the details ofspecific modules of the program flow chart, uses VB6.0tools to design hardware circuitmonitoring performance software according to communication protocol of the system,simply introduce the function of information management center monitor.Fifthly verify the accuracy and reliability of the water quality monitoring systemthrough the hardware of software testing.Combining with the actual requirements of local villages near Chong-Qing city,this paper designs the man-machine interface circuit and single-chip microcomputercircuit, communication circuit of Modbus, the data acquisition circuit and itscorresponding parts of the program. Finally, through the system of communication andkey parameters of water quality monitoring, it verifies the accuracy and reliability of thesystem.
