This kind of exploratory research of wooden toys for children aged 0-6 years old has a certain theoretical significance for guidance. China boasts the largest and the most powerful toy production and consumption in the world. The research and development of wooden toys for 0-6 years old children with education value is a major issue in the area of toy.Children who are 0-6 years old are the golden stage during a human life. Also, toys always are kids’good companies; the design will have a direct relationship to the child’s physical and mental development. In this thesis, project research and practice, mainly from security, special education and environmental protection this three areas to design research and innovation.First of all, the users of wooden toy were analised. Moreover, we have a good knowledge of product features, brand culture, corporate philosophy, corporate culture, design and orientation of the target, population of children aged 0-6 and their parents an in-depth investigation and analysis in Hape International(Ningbo) Ltd.In the second place, the design research and development located from the classification of wooden toys, principles and elements of the project design in Hape International(Ningbo) Ltd to study and analysis.Last but not least, we should regard design orientation as a starting point, designing a series of programs, creating and showing the concept from drafts to renderings, accomplishing the design evaluation and design optimization.
