Research On Association Between Urban Ecology And Subjective Well-being Of

This thesis first reviews domestic and international literatures about urban ecologicalresearch and well-being. Then the thesis summarizes relative theories and researchesinvolved in popular research trends and characteristics of urban ecological well-being ofresidents. This thesis introduces the study of the urban complex systems theory, urban nichetheory, economics of happiness, positive psychology and other related theories. By evaluatingthe level of urban ecology as a starting point, relationship of the ecology and happiness ofurban residents has been performed. By study of domestic literatures, it is found thatresearches about relationship between the environment and well-being are very rare, so in thispaper we focus on the relationship between happiness and environment of residents.First, four hypotheses of factors impact on happiness have been proposed, by studyingthe survey methods and procedures, combined domestic and foreign well-being questionnaire,which are generated from the environment - social - economic development of three aspects.Through a wide range of survey, the main factor affects happiness of the residents isinvestigated and key indicator of residents’happiness evaluation system is determined.Secondly, an evaluation system of cities’residents and ecological well-beingcomprehensive is built. Based on strict selection of indicators, both cities ecological andurban well-being index systems are constructed separately. Then a correlation analysis isperformed using SAS software, obtained results not only determine the level of urbanecological relationship with the residents of happiness but also determine the key factor ofwell-being of residents.Finally, taking as an example of Tianjin, this paper analyzes the relationship of Tianjinurban ecosystem and the level of happiness for Tianjin’s residents. Accordance with theabove methods and models, 606 questionnaires were issued, 583 valid questionnaires werecycled. Through the analysis of questionnaires and summarizing, level of Tianjin urbanecological relationship with the residents of happiness and main factor of sense of well-being.SAS software separately index system of multiple linear regression analysis of selected keyindicators and its canonical correlation analysis and the results indicate key factors ofwell-being of residents in Tianjin, countermeasures to enhance the well-being of Tianjinresidents is proposed.
