With development of the industry IT, auto parts,office machinery, electrical appliances and metal products, the metal molding industry, especially metal sheet precision shear industry is developing rapidly. Based on the economic develop concept of the energy conservation and environmental protection, which require continuously improve the metal products precision and the material utilization ratio,the wide metal sheet longitudinal cut into the needed width strip is making precision metal products foundation,so ensure slitting accuracy that the material utilization and metal products precision can be ensure.So research high precision metal sheet disc slitting technology will has important practical significance and necessity for promoting our country’s metal strips,IT, telecommunications, auto parts,household appliances and products.Based on the comprehensive reading, digestion and absorption about sheet shearing, precision blanking technology of home and abroad, the method combine of experiment and finite element simulation are applied to research the sheet metal disk slitting process.Through collecting lots of slitting samples to summarize the slitting fracture types, On this basis,tentative explore the cause for the occurrence of each type fracture.The304stainless steel is also taken as research object, and the single factor experiment method is developed to research the influence of the gap,overlapping quantity,sheet thickness for slitting surface quality,The impact of slitting quality reasons are also analyzed.Disc shear force mathematical model is established and mechanical state of slitting is also analyzed.Apply ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element software establish2D plane model to simulate disc slitting process, research conditionally the deformation of the stress and strain distribution condition and the stress strain of the feature points.Simulation research the influence law for gap,sheet thickness,blanking holder force to the disk slitting surface quality,and compared with the experiment.Experimental study and theoretical analysis shows that the disk slitting process involving many complex problems,such as the cracks generation and expand, slitting deformation mechanism and so on, research and analysis these problems can predict the method of crack formation and development so as to control slitting fracture features, ensure the slitting quality,this will help put forward new slitting processing technology, but related issues still need to do more research and in-depth work.
