Wetlands as one of the three global ecosystem, not only has the abundant resources, but also has great environment regulating function and ecological service benefit. Poyang lake wetland is the international important wetland, have flood diversion and storage, water conservation and purification of water, climatic regulation, providing biological habitat, biodiversity protection, tourism and scientific research, and other ecosystem function and immeasurable direct use value, indirect value, the existence value and potential value. Early china’s lack of awareness to the wetland resources, the over-exploitation of it lead to wetland area is keeping decreases, and wetland resources continue to recession was. In order to realize the ecological civilization and economy health fast development, it is necessary to study the wetland ecological compensation. Ecological compensation as a coping ecological crisis and environmental pollution of public policy tools and economic incentive means, balance and coordination for social and economic development and ecological system damage play an important role. For Poyang lake wetland ecological compensation study, be helpful for protecting Poyang lake wetland resources, and promoting the Poyang population, resources and environment sustainable development.This paper includes the following seven parts:(1) Through the access of ecological compensation domestic and international of data, summarized the domestic and foreign research present situation, understand the research progress of ecological compensation, determine the content, method and technical route.(2) Theory research. Make clear the connotation of the concept of ecological compensation, understand the principles of ecological compensation. Determine the eco-compensation standard accounting methods, understand the ecological compensation host-guest, the way, the type. Study on the theory and practice of ecological compensation in the problem of existence, find out the development tendency of ecological compensation and its changes.(3) Master Poyang lake wetland basic situation, the present situation and existing problems, distinguish Poyang lake wetland ecosystem category.(4) Through the ecosystem service theory sure Poyang lake wetland ecological system mainly service function, estimate Poyang lake wetland ecosystem service value for the evaluation. For Poyang lake wetland ecosystem service value are analyzed.(5) Through the statistics annals of Jiangxi province in2010and the2007statistics yearbook data, Nanchang city, Jiujiang city and Shangrao city agriculture, city and population data and Jiangxi province’s energy consumption data in2009.Calculation of the ecological footprint and Poyang lake wetland ecological carrying capacity, evaluation in2009sustainable development status of the wetland of Poyang lake.(6) Above Poyang Lake Wetland ecosystem service value and the ecological footprint calculations, use the growth curve model Pierce improvement, combined with the eleven counties of2006years of economic data, calculation Poyang lake wetland ecological compensation volume, determine the ecological compensation standard each year, research of wetland ecological compensation mechanism in the lake.(7) Indicates that the main research conclusion, study the shortage, and prospected.The main conclusions of this paper:(1) Estimate that the Poyang lake wetland ecosystem service value of4.029X1010yuan·a-1.(2) Calculated from the Poyang lake wetland ecological footprint per capita is1.8237hm2, per capita ecological capacity is1.7808hm2, ecological deficit is0.0429hm2, it is in unsustainable development.(3) Determine the Poyang Lake wetland ecological compensation volume of0.518X108yuan·a-1.
