With the acceleration of urbanization and constantly expansion of population scale, all kinds of municipal solid waste are also increasing. Therefore base on economy and technology level of our country, building a harmless sanitary landfill to dispose the urban living garbage which is the primary manner quite a long time in the future has gradually become an important part for the development of small-medium cities due to its simple technique, less investment, huge quantity of disposal, low costs of operating, managing and convenient transportation.The opportunities of government support and the development of the west regions effectively improve the level of urbanization, economy and living standard. However, the fundamental facilities for the environmental sanitation of Ngamring County which is a county in Xigaze Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region are far more behindhand than local economy level, especially in gathering and transporting waste and facilities of disposal. Therefore it is extremely urgent to design and build a normative sanitary landfill in Ngamring County.In considering influencing factors to the area of Tibet, the sanitary landfill which has already determined the location is designed for Ngamring County. Based on the scientific forecast of population growth and quantity of solid waste, the result of the actual daily capacity is10tons, the capacity of the sanitary landfill which can satisfy the local requirement in further sixteen years is87700cubic meters. It adopts a composite bed which combines HDPE and GCL impermeable structure, which economically and effectively achieves the separation of landfill and adjacent environment to avoid recontamination. In addition, it established the leachate collection which can be dealt in recirculating spraying treatment and groundwater guiding and draining system which can protect the groundwater form contamination. Moreover, it also installs landfill gas guiding and draining system and landfill gas combustion disposal equipment which can reduce the impact landfill gas has on the environment to the lowest level. Furthermore, at the top of the landfill, it installs a capping-covering system which can integrate the functions of draining, gas-guiding and virescence. The system can effectively control the output of leachate.It is designed as a feasible project to solve the problem of disposing Municipal solid waste, to improve situation of local environment effectively and to provide a strong guarantee for development of the economy and improvement of living stardard.
