With the constantly increasing population of the city, the rapid development of economy and people’s living standards gradually improved, the sharp increase in municipal solid waste has become an important source of environmental pollution in cities, which is listed as one of the three major environmental problems. The ultimate goal to solve the garbage problem is recycling, reducing and reusing. Landfill, composting, incineration and comprehensive utilization are widely used.The urban infrastructure for environmental health is weak in Yichun city Langxiang District. The simple landfill has caused serious environmental problem. It is not in harmony with economic development and urban development, since it lack the science and plans.In this thesis, the production, growth trend and satus of garbage were invested as the basic work. It focused on the natural conditions, climatic conditions, geological features and other features of Yichun city Langxiang District. The economic strength, proposed site condition, waste composition and environmental requirements were considered, combined with the relevant state industrial policies and overall planning assumption. The sanitary landfill was chosen to solve the waste disposal problem of Yichun Langxiang District. Sanitary landfill was developed based on traditional landfill technologies, as one of the traditional methods of solid waste final disposal, landfill remains the main solution to most of garbage in our country.Building a modern sanitary landfill is a very complex project involving many aspects, including site selection, project design, and landfill leachate treatment and so on. The paper described the design principle of life garbage fill buried field, analysis the features, status and the problem of life garbage in Yichun city Langxiang District. Based on natural geographic conditions and social economic environment of Langxiang District, landfill site was chosen and the engineering programme and production process was designed.In this design, advanced seepage control technique was used, the vertical gabion well and leachate diversion layer were combined with the exhaust layer, then the landfill gas was discharged to combustion towers for burning through pipeline, in order to reduce theharm on the surrounding environment. The landfill leachate was collected by the horizontal and vertical collection systems, and then treated by two DTRO process to enable it to meet national standards before discharge.
