Chlorine dioxide is widely studied and used as a disinfectant, which is charac-terized by high performance, broad spectrum, low remaining, and it could not inducecarcinogenicity, teratogenicity and mutagenicity. However, the property of chlorinedioxide is so active that gaseous and liquid ones could not make sure the effectivenessand safety of disinfectant use. As a result, the solid preparation has become a studyhotspot. The tablets has the advantages of high security, high effec-tive content, longshelf life and easy transportation, so a kind of binary chlorine dioxide tablets and itsperformance test were researched in this paper.Experimental results show that:(1)Chlorine dioxide can be released when sodium chlorite and solid acid react inthe water, based on this principle, taking the sodium chlorite and solid acid as the corematerial of tablet A and tablet B respectively, then cooperated with the activatingagent, binder, lubricant, effervescent could make into tablets. Coating on the tablets isto extend its shelf life. The combining effect of acidifiers and promoters to transformthe sodium chlorite are studied, as well as different binders and lubricants’influenceson the hardness, friability and other factors of the tablets. Finally, the optimum recipesof A and B tablets are obtained by single factor and orthogonal experiments. Theresults are as follows:①It could get satisfactory effect when adopting acid C and Das acidification agent, and the mass ratio of the two acids is 1:2.②The conversion ofsodium chlorite is the biggest when using activator K as activator, and the mass ratioof sodium chlorite and activator K is 1:1.③The disintegration time of the tabletscould be controlled within 5 minutes when effervescent is put into the tablets.(2)The effects of different binders and lubricants to tablets extruding has beenresearched, as well as the effects of different coating materials to tablets storage. The experimental results show that: the hardness and the friability could meet therequirements when usingβ-CD and polyethyleneglycol as binders. The mass ratio ofthese two kinds of materials is 1:1. Taking magnesium stearate as a lubricant, thedosage of which is 0.1%, could effectively make the tablets surface smooth andbrighten the tablets color. It could effectively increase the stability of the tablets whenusing polyvinyl pyrrolidone as coating material, and this material could get an idealeffect.(3)According to Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China(2005 version)and Chlorine Dioxide Disinfector Health Standard(2011 version), the performances ofthe prepared tablets have been analyzed. The results are showed as follows: theaverage weight of single tablet A and B is 0.64g and 0.60g respectively, and the usingratio of tablet A and B is 1:3. The average content of chlorine dioxide in tablet A is6.867mg (dissolved in the water for 30 mins). The average hardness of tablets A andB are 54N and 58N separately, the average friability are 4.2% and 4.6%, and theaverage disintegrating time limit are 243s and 254s. The drop rates of chlorine dioxidecould reach 5.6% after putting the tablets in the oven (humidity:70%, temperature:54℃, time: 14d), so the tablets could be stored for one year.
