Indole and β-diketone compounds are very useful in various fields. Thepaper reiterated the harmful of toxic chemicals to the environment, so we shouldprotect the environment and promote "green chemistry". The characteristics,synthetic methods and applications of ferrocene, indole and β-diketone weresimplely introduced in this paper.Because of knowing about more of the abovethree types of compounds, the synthetic route of the target compounds wasdesigned. The target compounds are2-ferrocenyl indoles and nine kinds of3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione metal complexes.The preparation of acetylferrocene and bromoacetylferrocene is the basic ofthe experiment. we uses Acetyl ferrocene was synthesized by two methods.Thetwo methods are all have advantages and disadvantages of theirself. About thesynthesis of bromoacetylferrocene, traditional synthetic methods have somedisadvantages such as expensive reagent, harsh experimental conditions. now,there has a breakthrough, a simple and inexpensive method to synthesicbromoacetylferrocene was found and it’s structure was confirmed by IR and1HNMR.2-ferrocenyl indole was synthesized by conventional method. Acetylferrocene and phenylhydrazine are raw material, glacial acetic acid was solvent,first, corresponding hydrazone are formed, and then dropping a littlehydrochloric acid, the hydrazone eliminate ammonia and cyclization.It’sstructure was confirmed by IR,1HNMR and13CNMR.The synthesis of3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4–pentanedione metal complexesis the main part of the paper. In this paper, the synthesis of the target product hasfour steps.firstly, the synthesis of acetyl ferrocene; second, the synthesis ofBromoacetyl ferrocene; thirdly, the synthesis of3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione; fourth, the synthesis of3-(acetyl ferrocenyl)-2,4-pentanedionemetal complexes. last,we got the Elemental analysis, IR,1HNMR,(13CNMR andTGA characterization of3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione and nine kinds of 3-(acetylferrocenyl)-2,4-pentanedione metal complexes:3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione magnesium,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione calcium,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione aluminum,3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione barium,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione manganese,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione ferrous,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedionecopper,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione cobalt,3-(acetylferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione zinc.Bromoacetyl ferrocene is an important intermediate in the wholeexperimental process.Because of the method is new, so the new was optimizedfrom three aspects: temperature, amount of HBr, dropping rate saturatedbromine water and obtained the optimum conditions: at0℃, dropping1.5mLHBr,intermittent dropping saturated bromine water by6-8drops/5min.The antibacterial activity of ten kinds of β-diketones compounds were madeby E.coli(Escherichia coli), Staphylococcus aureus, yeast(Saccharomycescerevisiae),actinomycetes,Streptococcus. The results showed that the bactericidalactivity of3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4–pentanedione metal complexes is higherthan3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4-pentanedione.Because metal cations areintroduced into3-(acetyl ferrocene)-2,4–pentanedione.
