The mechanical elastic wheel is a non-inflatable safety tire with anti-piercing,anti-leakage and anti-ballistic features.These features ensure that MEW is suitable to be applied to complex and harsh driving environments.Rigid-flexible coupling dynamics is a further development and complement of multi-rigid system dynamics and flexible multi-body system dynamics.The rigid-flexible coupling simulation model in mechanical elastic wheel modeling is more in line with the actual situation,this plays an important role in improving the accuracy of the simulation results.This paper studies the movement characteristics of mechanical elastic wheel.The performance characteristics and relationship of the elastic wheel,the hinge group and the wheel hub are described.The vibration characteristics and rolling resistance characteristics of mechanical elastic wheel are also studied.The main research contents include:1.The structural composition,working principle and performance characteristics of mechanical elastic wheel were explained.The dynamic model of mechanical elastic wheel was established based on theoretical mechanics theory and elastoplastic mechanics theory.The static models of mechanical elastic wheel was built including the complete condition and the damage of the hinge group.Rolling models includes driving wheel mechanics model,driven wheel mechanics model and brake wheel mechanics model.In addition,the mechanical elastic wheel rolling resistance model was established,and various factors affecting the rolling resistance was analyzed.2.The simulation model of mechanical elastic wheel was reasonably simplified,based on the structure and working principle.First of all,a multi-rigid simulation model of mechanical elastic wheel was established.Next,the material properties and mesh were added to the elastic wheel,according to the finite element method.Then,the natural vibration data of the wheel was obtained through the modal analysis.After that,the rigid body elastic wheel was flexibly processed based on the results of modal analysis.At last,a rigid-flexible coupling simulation model of mechanical elastic wheel was established whose wheel hub and hinge group was rigid,elastic wheel was flexible.3.Based on the rigid-flexible coupling simulation model of mechanical elastic wheel,a series of researches were carried out.The movement characteristics of mechanical elastic wheel was studied by changing the input.The relationship among the rotational hysteresis angle,the wheel ground tangential force and the wheel speed were discussed.The force characteristics of the elastic wheel and the hinge group were studied.The rolling characteristics between mechanical elastic wheel and ordinary solid safety tires were compared.What's more,a vertical input channel was established at the ground of the mechanical elastic wheel simulation model,and a vertical output channel was also established at the center of the wheel hub.Through the vibration simulation,the vertical vibration response of the mechanical elastic wheel were obtained.Furthermore,the vertical vibration characteristics of the mechanical elastic wheel and the influence of elastic wheel on the vibration characteristics were studied.Beyond that,the calculation method of rolling resistance of mechanical elastic wheel was analyzed.The rolling resistance of mechanical elastic wheel and its influencing factors were studied by test.
