At present, the magnetic abrasive particles are the main factors of restricting the magnetic abrasive finishing technology popularization and application. Explore how to prepare a higher cost of magnetic abrasive particles is an urgent need to solve the key issues in the magnetic abrasive particles preparation. This paper start from the mechanism of magnetic abrasive processing, in-depth study magnetic abrasive grinding mechanism. Studying on the role of magnetic abrasive grinding effect is mainly from its microstructure and magnetic abrasive wear model, to study the nature of magnetic abrasive particles on the essence.In order to prepare a cost-effective magnetic abrasive particle, finding out the theoretical basis of the hot pressing preparing magnetic abrasive particles from the perspective of powder metallurgy. Studying all aspects of the characteristics of the raw material powder and the powder metallurgy production process are prepared by hot pressing method the influence of the magnetic abrasive performance, provides a theoretical basis for the rational development of the experimental program. People prepare magnetic abrasive particles by hot-pressing sintering process parameters on the basis of previous exploration. And technical rules of this research program carried out detailed analysis and design plan. Details are as follows:Large number of experiments to map out the different components of raw material powder sample sintered magnetic abrasive particles’B-H curve, exploring the best preparation process parameters.SEM images of the magnetic abrasive particles sintering the green body experiment to analyze the microstructure of the green body sintering temperature, sintering pressure and heat preservation time on the density and bond strength of the magnetic abrasive particles, and to find more reasonable sintering process parameters.XRD patterns of magnetic abrasive particles explore the sintering temperature on the composition of the magnetic abrasive particles almost no effect, the group did not undergo chemical changes.We analyze processing characteristics of the magnetic abrasive particles and obtain a series of conclusions:Factors of affecting the magnetic abrasive particles performance include quality percentage of the raw materials powder of iron and abrasive, magnetic abrasive particles size, magnetic abrasive workpiece processing conditions and processing parameters, etc. exploring the influence of various factors on the processing quality and efficiency by a series of experiments.Through in-depth of sintering process with hot pressing to prepare the magnetic abrasive particles process and obtain some conclusions:hot pressed sintering of the magnetic abrasive particles have long life, high processing efficiency, better machined surface and research value. By the experiments of this topic and comparative analysis of the magnetic abrasive, access to technology popularization and application of magnetic abrasive finishing process parameters of the actual reference value.
