Research Of Synergies And Durability On Waterproof Finishing Of Synthetic Fabrics

Because of the legislation of EU REACH restrictions to C8perfluorooctane acrylic,the short carbon chain C6perfluorinated acrylic will be the direction of development in thefuture,but the performance of the short carbon chain C6perfluorinated acrylicwaterproofing agent is less than the C8perfluorooctane acrylic.The goal of this paper is tostudy the synergistic effect of the additives to the C6perfluorinated acrylic waterproofingagent TG5601and the durability of waterproof finishing.The paper has researched on synergistic effect of various additives on C6perfluorinated acrylic waterproofing agent TG5601. Filtered out three waterproof synergistAPF,WEB and AKD which have well performance,respectively discussed the performancethen compounded with TG5601waterproofing agent from the emulsion stability,surfacetension，fabric style，etc，compared the changes of waterproof，oil repellent，contact angleand tear strength before and after washing. And by scanning electron microscope toanalyze the changes of the fiber surface structure.and simulated the continuity of thewaterproof finishing through5G-5M amplification experiments.The results showed three kinds of synergist APF,WEB,AKD mixed withwaterproofing agent TG5601had good emulsion stability,they were effective synergist ofwaterproofing.Three kinds of emulsion could significantly reduce the surface tension ofwater repellentTG5601,and could increase the effects of water and oil repellent andwashable,also improved the tear strength. When TG5601was20g/L, added5g/L of AKD,5g/L of WEB or3g/L of APF, the baking temperature was160°C, curing time was1~3min,it could get excellent waterproof and washable. also had better continued processing. Threesynergists were not only suitable for waterproofing processing of polyester fabric, nylon and cotton fabric also had a good effect of waterproofing finishing. By scanning electronmicroscope a uniform and smooth layer was be found on the fiber surface after the organicfluorine waterproofing agent finishing,after washed the layer changed to pits,while theoriginal smooth of fiber restored after high temperature re-baking，water and oil repellencyalso get restored.
