Poly-acrylate emulsion was prepared by semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization, Butyl acrylate (BA), vinyl acetate (VAC), acrylic acid (AA) served as the monomers of copolymer, Potassium persulfate (KPS) served as redox initiator and the lauryl sodium sulfate/OP-10 served as emulsifier. The structure and latex particles of the copolymer were measured by IR and TEM. At the same time, this dissertation also investigated the glass transition temperature, mechanical properties and hydroscopicity of latex copolymers. The results showed that:when the reaction temperature was 75-80℃, the reaction time was 4h, the rate of monomer was 1d/s, the mixing speed was 600-700r/min, the updated level emulsifier was 4%,the PVA content was 6%, the performance of emulsion was better.Acrylate emulsion was modified with organic fluorine by chemical copolymer methods. The influence of parameters on the comprehensive performance of emulsion was studied systematically. The parameters include initiator's concentration, emulsifier's dosage, the ration of monomers, organic fluorine's dosage, AA's dosage and reaction temperature and reaction time. The results showed that:the comprehensive performance of emulsion was very well and mechanical properties increased with the introduction of arganic fluorine. When the reaction temperature was 85℃, the reaction time was 4h, the level of emulsifier was 4%, the diluting stability, freeze-thaw stability and calcium stability as well as storage stability of the emulsion were better than the general one. Compared with the general film of polyacrylate emulsion, the water absorption rate of its film was much lower, the peel strength was greatly improved. TEM results showed that the latex particle had anticipated core-shell structure and the average diameter was 90 nm.Compared with other fluorine-containing polymer emulsions, the quality scale of organic fluorine is lower, and the peel strength is 22.5 N/2.5cm,the water absorption lowest was 2% by now.At the same time, the influence of organic fluorine content on water contact angle and surface energy were also studied. It is shown that when the organic fluorine's dosage was 4%, the water contact angel was 80°, the soakage of emulsion to BOPP were better than the general one. Through calculating the surface energy by Owens method, with the increase of organic fluorine, the surface energy of emulsion polymerization was reduced observably. It's good for the felting between the low surface energy materials.
