With the development of oil exploitation and transport on the sea, the oil spilled accidentshappen every year. The oil spilled accidents take serious environment pollution, and request thespilled oil identification more accuracy. It is important to exact oil identification can help us tofind the pollution source and responsibility, so we can request pay for the environment pollution.The dissertation studies the light and middle weathering discipline in Xiamen area by usingGC-MS. The content focus on the alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, biomarkers and diamondioidhydrocarbons weathering discipline under the water and sand simulating experiment, discussed thestability of diagnostic ratio, and tested the repeatability limit comparison of diagnostic ratio. Thestudies choose the suitable diagnostic ratio and new diagnostic ratio to use in oil identification.The results shows that the alkanes on sand was suffered hard weathering in November, thediagnostic ratio of Pr/Ph was changed by weathering at the end of the experiment; naphthaleneand alkylated naphthalene were lost all, fluorine, dibenzothiophene, phenanthrene and theiralkylated hydrocarbon were lost most, their select mass chromatograph peaks got lower obviously;chrysene and alkylated chrysene were changed a little; the terpane and sterane select masschromatogram were lower than the spilled oil. The weathering ratio of compounds on watersimulating experiment were lower than on the sand, naphthalene and alkylated naphthalene werestill detected, more than three rings PAHs were not obvious suffered the weathering; terpane andsterane select mass chromatogram were kept stability. We found the coefficient of variation of thediagnostic ratios of MPI1, MPI2, MPDF1, MPDF2and2-MP/1-MP were from0.70%to8.11%,and they were stability under the water and sand simulating experiment. So this diagnostic ratioswere suitable for oil identify.The simulating experiments research the weather resistance of diamondioid hydrocarbons.The results showed that diamondioid hydrocarbons were stability under the water and sandsimulating experiment, the anti-weathering abilities of diamantanes are greater than adamantanes,and the diamondioid hydrocarbons can distinguish the oil sources. The diagnostic ratio of IMAandIMDwere stability, they can use in oil identification. But the diamondioid hydrocarbons respondwere low in GC-MS, we can use them assist the spilled oil identification. In order to understand background in Xiamen, we investigated the Xiamen Island coast waterand sediment. We found the C16, C18, C20of n-alkanes concentration were higher than othern-alkanes in water, in sediments the high concentrations of n-alkanes were range C15to C20.Naphthalene and alkylated naphthalene can found in water, but some station phenanthrene andchrysene were obvious high than other station in sediment. It showed that the alkanes, aromatichydrocarbons, biomarkers and diamondioid hydrocarbons in water and sediment can not influencethe spilled oil identification.Considering the stability of diagnostic ratio under the water and sand simulating experiment,and the background of hydrocarbon in Xiamen, the dissertation found the light and middleweathering oil identification technique by GC-MS in Xiamen.
