The mushroom is the traditional agricultural products for export in our country, which has a great demand in the market, and the market share of our country is about92%, which contribute the annual export of2.0-3.0billion dollars. The mushrooms grading belongs to the labor intensive industry, which relies on manpower grading for a long period of time, and the method has disadvantages of wasting of manpower, low efficiency and low accuracy.The work is according to the low automation level in the mushroom grading industry, by analysis and comparison; we try to find out the critical problems in the automation of mushroom grading. And we design a set of mushroom online grading control system, which solves the problems of mushroom grading in the industry. The system consists of the parts of arrangement system, the turnover system, the grading executive system, which is design for the mushroom processed by the image processing.There is a must of arrangement for the mushroom grading; the mushrooms need to move in a queue with certain interval. In this way, we can ensure the correctness of image capture and the follow-up grading action. We adopted the vibration hopper as the feeding and deliver mechanism, and the hopper is divided by the separator, which ensures the mushroom delivering in a queue, and the mushroom is stopped by the baffle when reaches the end of the hopper, at that time, the nozzle jets flow by a certain interval, which achieve the function of interval feeding.The grades judgment of mushroom is based on the percentage of the streaks in the pileus. The probability of front and back when the mushroom drops in the capture area is the same. So we adopt a turnover mechanism, by acquiring the two side information, we can determine the grade of the mushroom. Here we use stepper motor to drive turnover mechanism, which is controlled by the STC89C51MCU to achieve the interval turnover function.Finally, we grade the mushroom processed by the image system. Delivering the mushroom by the synchronous belt, when the mushroom gets to the predetermined spot, the nozzle is activated, blow the mushrooms to the corresponding tank. This chip in this part is MSP430F149, which can achieve multichannel grading.The main content of the paper is to design and discuss the hardware and software of the control system. We find out the proper hardware design and according to the hardware design, we write an extensive software system. The system has features of double channel/multi channel extensive, parameters online adjusting, grading result statistics and result exports. The experiment shows that the system is stable and has a high accuracy, which can fully satisfied the demand of mushroom online grading.
