The mechanized continuous mining method can improve the safety for miners, reduce the working intensity and greatly boost the production efficiency. Because of the hight hardness of rocks and poor wear resistance of rock-cutting tools, the mechanized continuous mine method is not applied for non-coal minerals mining.Cantilevered boring machine is a set of joint working rigs, capable of cutting rocks, loading and transporting rock block, ventilating and suppressing dust simultaneously. Therefore, continuous excavation to both the ore body androadwaycan be achieved.Under high crustal stress, the underground rock excavation will cause significant changes of the stress in the surrounding rock. Stress in the surround rock would unload and release along the excavation direction, and some new joints and fractures in the surrounding rock will be reduced. Furthermore, the propagation of the original micro-crack will result in the decrease of the hardness coefficient of the surrounding rock.In this paper, a inducing roadway is excavated by blasting in the deeply buried ore body with high stress in Kailin Group Maluping mine.The storage pressure energy in high sress rock mass results in the damage accumulation and so the rockmass are easy to dig. The emergence and development of broken zone were obtained by monitoring the stress of the surround rock. Through investigation on joints and fractures in induced roadway, the effects of high stress on the the fracturing of the wall of orebody were verified. When the joints and fractures in ore bocks developed to a certain degree, the heading machine EBZ160TY was used for cutting orebody. The cutting process was recorded and the related cutting data such as longitudinal drilling, transverse cutting and working efficiency were collected. Compared with the excavation results of ore body in conventional roadways, the orebody can be mined with high efficiency and safety in the presence of an inducing roadway.
