In open-pit mining, the blasting was traditional taken mining process for hardmaterial, but with the enhancement of environmental protection and safetyconsciousness, blasting mining is increasingly criticized. Especially, With theincreasingly restrictive blasting and the increasingly blasting cost, reaserch on open-pitmine rock stripping equipment has become a market demand. Open continuous miningmachine in this research is a kind of new stripping equipment that is used to strip andmine rock covering over coal mine.The process of mining machine stripping rock is the process of the cutting devicebreaking rock, and research on the cutting device is emphasis and difficulty of strippingmachine design. Drum and pick of the cutting device are the key parts for cutting andstripping rock, so design of pick and it’s arrangement on the drum would be the maincontent to study this subject.In the research method, this paper draws on the structure of foreign strippingequipment, based on the design theory of continuous miner and horizontal roadheader,the structure design and cutting device for continuous stripping machine cut, andthrough the LS-DYNA dynamic penetration simulation experiment, finally determinedand other cutting parameters and cutting device structure parameters suitable for cuttinghard rock cutting.The main research contents of this thesis are:(1) The preliminary design of the keycutting e parameters, including the selection of pick, pick arrangement way and designof cutting line spacing, installation angle.(2) Analysis of cutting device dynamics:analysis of vector model based on the drum and the pick cutting motion; building upmovement equations on displacement velocity and acceleration; from mechanics modelof single pick broken rock, deduce the pick and drum cutting resistance formula.(3)Based on the numerical analysis of finite element dynamic simulation theory, havesimulation experiments to realize the drum rotation cutting with LS-DYNA software.(4)Contrast experiment using single variable method on the different design parameterswould be done, and analyse each test data, regarding a drum cutting load as evaluationindex, find which of different models of cutting condition is superior. The four part is aprocess from the foundation to theory, from theory to experiment and supplement each other, eventually determine the reasonable cutting parameter through comparisonanalysis of the experiment data.
