In recent years,because of its biological and pharmacological activity,such as anti-bacterial, anti-tumor,silver coordination compounds has become a hotresearch for scientists.Three new Ag(I) complounds containing bioligands(Adenine,Guanine and6-chloropurine),which are three-coordinated or four-coordinated incomplounds, were synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical methods, suchas IR,1H and31P{1H} NMR, elemental analyses and X-ray crystallographic analysis:[Ag(PPh3)2(CH3COO)]2(1),[Ag(PPh3)2(C5H4N5)]n(2),[Ag(PPh3)2(C5H2ClN4)](3)and [Ag(PPh3)3(C5H5N2O2)](4).Crystal structure of four compounds were gaven by X-ray crystallographicanalysis. Although the crystal structure of complound1was reported, we synthesizedit in different way. The space group of complound2is Pbca, the crystal belongs toOrthorhombic crystal system. The cell parameters are a=13.0079(3)(?),b=19.2177(4)(?),c=30.7592(6)(?),α=90.00°,β=90.00°,γ=90.00°,Z=8,Dc=1.404,V(3)=7689.2(3). The center metal Ag(I) is four-coordinated with two P atoms of thetriphenylphosphino ligands and two N atoms of the Adenine, and lead to theformation of extended one-dimensional polymeric main chain in the crystal lattice.The space group of complound3is P-1, the crystal belongs to Triclinic crystalsystem. The cell parameters are a=10.454(2)(?),b=10.494(2)(?),c=17.580(4)(?),α=98.73(3)°,β=91.39(3)°,γ=95.16(3)°,Z=2,Dc=1.382,V(3)=1897.3(7), Thecenter metal Ag(I) is three-coordinated with two phosphines and one thymine ligandand exhibits16e trigonal planar geometry because of the lack of eletron donor. Thespace group of complound4is Pbca, the crystal belongs to Orthorhombic crystalsystem. The cell parameters are a=20.882(4)(?),b=20.206(4)(?),c=24.977(5)(?),α=90.00°,β=90.00°,γ=90.00°,Z=8,Dc=1.336,V((?)3)=10539(4), The center metalAg(I) is four-coordinated with three phosphines and one6-chloropurine ligand.intermolecular hydrogen bond in2directs the one-dimensional zigzag chain to atwo-dimensional network structures.. four complounds have been screened for their antibacterial activities. However,potentially antibacterial activity of compounds weren’t found and the reasons were discussed.
