Copper slag is produced from process of smelting copper by pyrometallurgy, and it is produced in form of water hardening slag. There is many value metals in copper slag. It will engender resource waste and environment pollution when so much copper slag is stacked in a place. So it has economic and environmental necessity to utilize copper slag generally. In this paper, I disposed copper slag by hydrochloric acid leaching to separate element Fe and Si in slag. In my research, I investigated the effect of hydrochloric acid concentration, reaction temperature, reaction tine, whisking speed, the ratio of mass of slag to volume of hydrochloric acid solution, granularity of slag and the dosage of catalyst on separation of Fe and Si. Finally, I found the best leaching condition to utilize copper slag. There are some investigation conclusions as follows:(1) When reaction temperature is90℃, reaction time is120min, whisking speed is150r/min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.0g copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is different volume of hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the best volume of hydrochloric acid (A.R.) is300ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.) in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution.(2) When reaction time is120min, whisking speed is150r/min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.0g copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached at different reaction temperature in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the best reaction temperature is120℃.(3) When reaction temperature is90℃, whisking speed is150r/min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.Og copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached at different reaction time in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the best reaction time is150min.(4) When reaction temperature is90℃, reaction time is120min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.Og copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached at different whisking speed in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the best whisking peed is180r/min.(5) When reaction temperature is90℃, reaction time is120min, whisking peed is150r/min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.Og copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached in different volume of hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the best volume of hydrochloric acid solution is1000ml. It also means the ratio of mass of slag to volume of hydrochloric acid solution is1:10.(6) When reaction temperature is90℃, reaction time is120min, whisking peed is150r/min and the dosage of catalyst is5.0g,100.0g copper slag who has different particle size is leached in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.). The result of experiment shows that the particle size of slag is not the marked factor to affect the separation efficiency of Fe and Si. Finally, I grind the slag until its particle size is smaller than0.150mm.(7) When reaction temperature is90℃, reaction time is120min and whisking peed is150r/min,100.0g copper slag whose particle size is between0.425mm to0.850mm is leached in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution in which there is250ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.), and then I add different dosage of catalyst in hydrochloric acid solution. The result of experiment shows that the best dosage of catalyst is7.0g.(8) The best condition is that hydrochloric acid concentration is300ml hydrochloric acid (A.R.) in1000ml hydrochloric acid solution, reaction temperature is150℃, reaction tine is150min, whisking speed is180r/min, the ratio of mass of slag to volume of hydrochloric acid solution is1:10, granularity of slag is smaller than0.150mm, and the dosage of catalyst is7.0g. I dispose the slag in this condition. The result shows that the purity of SiO2and Fe2O3is88.2%and83.6%, and the recovery of SiO2and Fe is87.0%and95.1%. All of these mean that the way to dispose copper slag in my paper is effective and doable.
