Aiming at grouting curtain project controlling groundwater damage in Fankou lead-zinc mine, integrating use of geostatistics and numerical simulation methods, using the digital tools of Visual Modflow and Matlab, combining with the research projects-numerical simulation of groundwater in Fankou lead-zinc mine, the paper carried out the optimization study of the position of grouting curtain and groundwater observation network. The main contents are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of the long-term hydrological observations information and hydrogeological conditions in the mining area, the inrush sources and inrush pathway were obtained; on the basis of the hydrogeological conditions generalization of the study area, the concept model was established, which laid the foundation for the numerical simulation model of groundwater flow field.(2)Based on established hydrogeological concept model, using Visual Modflow software, according to actual engineering parameters, the numerical simulation of groundwater flow field was built; through fitting the actual water head of the observation wells and simulated head, the hydrology geological parameters was determined by inversing; and through the error analysis of the actual water head of the observation wells and simulated head and the analysis of water equilibrium, the model was verified reliability.(3)Based on the validated groundwater numerical simulation model, analyzed the groundwater flow field without the curtain, the groundwater flow field characteristics were revealed; using the experience parameters of the curtain, loading the curtain line location programs into the groundwater numerical simulation model, the groundwater flow field characteristics and mine water inflow were obtained and compared in wet and dry seasons, and taking the account of ore loss under the curtain line location programs the optimization of the curtain line position was achieved.(4)For monitoring the change rule and the tendency of groundwater, through numerical simulation analysis, the characteristics of groundwater in wet and dry season were researched, and the hydrologic areas with great changes of groundwater level were determined; For monitoring the shape of groundwater, using kriging, the areas needed adding observation and the well needed to be deleted were found. Integrating the results of two scheme above, the best observation network can be determined, which laid foundation for the monitoring the groundwater shape, rule and tendency.
