The water environment is basic resource for human survival. Waterenvironmental protection of drinking water source is the most important task amongall the environmental protection, which is related to people’s lives and health, andrelated to the sustainable development of the national economy, and also related tosocial harmony and stability. So protection of drinking water source to be well done isof great significance.Laoshan Reservoir is one of the major drinking water source in Qingdao City,and its protection work has great responsibility. In recent years, because of populationgrowth, rapid development of economic and tourism, and lag of ancillary facilitiesconstruction in Laoshan District, the water source has been polluted to some extent.Based on field surveys, the environmental pollution status of drinking water source inLaoshan District is studied. In this thesis, the Laoshan Reservoir, Dashi villageReservoir, East Dahe reservoir, Liuqing River Reservoir and Quanxin River Reservoirare selected for research and analysis, and the completed work is as follows:(1) A basic overview of the drinking water source environment in LaoshanDistrict. Through field survey, collecting large amounts of data, the infrastructure,ecological environment, types, quantity, distribution and emissions of pollutionsources in water source are conducted a thorough investigation and analysis. Themain sources of pollution and major pollutants in water source protection areas areobtained.(2) The water quality in water source protection areas is evaluated usingsingle-factor evaluation method. The results show that the water quality of Dashivillage Reservoir and East Dahe reservoir is classified as Grade Ⅱ, with excellentwater quality. The water quality of Liuqing River Reservoir and Quanxin RiverReservoir is assessed as Grade Ⅰ, with excellent water quality. The nutrition statusevaluation of the four reservoirs is done through the method of comprehensive nutrition state index. The composite nutritional status scores of Dashi villageReservoir, East Dahe reservoir, Liuqing River Reservoir and Quanxin River Reservoirare38.08,37.79,31.82and30.12, respectively. The nutritional status of all the fourreservoirs is moderate and a good qualitative evaluation.(3) This article use Daniel Trend Checking method to measure the varying trendquality of water resource in recent years. The results show that, the trends of BOD5and TN in Liuqing River Reservoir are relatively flat. The varying trend of QuanxinRiver Reservoir is more obvious than other reservoirs, and especially its increasingtrend of BOD5is very significant. It should be pay particularly attention in theenvironmental protection work in the future.(4) The total discharge of pollutants of drinking water source is calculated, andcalculation and control analysis of the pollution load of drinking water source aredone. Using completely mixed model, water environmental capacity of each reservoiris calculated, and based on monitoring results in2010, as well as the environmentalcapacity of a normal year, the major pollutants of every reservoir need to be reducedare given for achieving Class Ⅱ and Class Ⅲ standards respectively.(5) On the basis of the pollution investigation of drinking water source and waterquality analysis, this article pointed out some problems in the drinking water sourceprotection. Moreover, several pollution prevention countermeasures and suggestionsare given for carrying out the drinking water source protection in Laoshan districtmore effectively.
