This paper is based on monitoring data of quality of drinking water sources of Jiangsu Province, more than 29 ground-level drinking water sources and 66 county-level sources of drinking water environmental conditions were assessed, analyzed the problems of current sources of drinking water environment and applied the corresponding management and remediation countermeasures.Above perfecture level, the typical sources environment of drinking water evaluation results show that in 2011,27 surface drinking water sources evaluated by 28 index evaluation, water quantity compliance rate was 99.7%, water source compliance rate was 92.6%. According to 35 indicators,45 indicators of evaluation, water quantity and source compliance rate was 100%.2 underground sources of drinking water by 39 index evaluation, water quality and quantity compliance rate was 100%. In 2012,27 surface drinking water sources evaluated by 28 index evaluation, water quantity and source compliance rate was 100%. According to 35 and 45 indicators evaluated, water quantity and source compliance rate was 100% as well. Two underground sources of drinking water evaluated by 39 index evaluation, quality and quantity reached all standards.In 2012, Jiangsu Province county level drinking water source environment assessment results show that the province’s 66 county-level centralized drinking water sources, the 63 of the total, water quality were fully met. water quantity standards for 2,349,273,000 tons, water quantity compliance rate was 99.9%.Jiangsu Province drinking water sources enviroment exists current problems to be solved:(1) Remedation of individual water source protection zone is not yet fully in place.(2) River-type drinking water sources exist higher environmental risk.(3) Lake-type drinking water sources, water quality is poor by long-term nitrogen, phosphorus affection.(4) The urgent need to improve the environmental management conditions in some cities. protection countermeasures:(1) strengthen the protection of drinking water environment(2) Straighten out the management system(3) improve the mechanism of drinking water safety emergency(4) Strengthening regional cooperation...
