In the low-voltage power system of underground coal mine, magnetic starter isimportant electrical equipments to ensure the safe operation of motor. With the rapiddevelopment of coal industry,the increasing level of mine production mechanization,the mine power supply continuity, security and reliability is getting higher andhigher.Therefore,it has the important theory and application value for magnetic starterof low voltage integrated protection system to protect.Through the analysis of the characteristics of underground low voltage powersupply system, according to the “Coal Mine Safety Regulations” provisions, it isproposed that the low pressure magnetic starter intelligence protective system shouldhave each protection funtion, and we theoretically analyze the common fault features ofmine lines and electrical equipments. According to the related standards,thecorresponding protection algorithms and movement indicators are proposed. Thissystem has the short circuit, overload, three-phase unbalanced,over-voltageunder-voltage,leakage atresia and other comprehensive protection functions.This paper introducs the high performance MCU Intel80296SA as the control unitfor mine magnetic starter intelligence protective device, the hardware and thesoftware design. We introduces the microcomputer protection algorithms for thisprotective device, inprove the inverse time characteristic curve for the MCU method,use the C language to complete software system’s design and analyze existence reasonfor interference,and it is taken the corresponding anti-interference measures from thesoftware and hardware aspect.Through system’s hardware manufacfure,the debugging and experiment, magneticstarter’s various protection requests and other auxiliary functions are completed,which fully display the advantages of the microcomputer protection,for example, theaccuray of data acquisition and calculation, the reliblity of protection movement and thestabele property,it is high value to enhance the safe of underground low voltage powersupply system in the present.
