NCUC-Bus is the native CNC fieldbus which developed by CNC System FieldbusAlliance, which established by National Numerical Control System Engineering ResearchCenter and other CNC companies. In order to promote the NCUC-Bus applications, theconversion of the NCUC-Bus fieldbus and the USB bus is reasearched. And the platform isdeveloped to validate the technology.Based on the study of NCUC-Bus and the USB bus, the transformation technolgy isreasearched and the bus conversion plan is proposed. FPGA and USB chip of CY68013A arechose to construct the platfrom. After finished the circuit design, the rules of PCB layout andsignal route were studied to make the platform steadier.According to proposal, the software system was designed and three control module ofFPGA implementation were built in VHDL language. The USB communication controlmodule was in charge of the transmission of the USB chip, the NCUC-Bus buscommunication module accessed the data from the NCUC-Bus, and the bus data conversionmodule were designed to transfer the data between the two modules. USB firmware wasstudied and programmed. The USB driver is based on WDM moudle, after finished the USBdriver development, the development and programm of the applications of USB are based onthe driver that offered by CYPRESS company.The experimental platform was established to finish the analyse and verification aboutthe conversion technology of the NCUC-Bus and USB bus. The result indicated that the wayis feasible. And the usage of the NCUC-Bus real-time monitoring applications was discussed.
