With the widely use of identifiers as date of production,bar codes,logos on the goodsand so on,these identifiers make the device which could print them become the essentialmachine in many enterprises.However,the research on inkjet printer gets a late start and ashort time development in our country,and our technology is outdated,so most of inkjetprinters we used now are imported from abroad.With the rapid growth of the inkjet printerneeds,the domestic market has huge potential.It is necessary to develop and produce inkjetprinter with high quality and independent intellectual property rights.Popularization andapplications of embedded technology has brought new opportunities for it,and it is ageneral trend that apply the embedded technology to the inkjet printer system.In embeddedsystems,the driver is the bridge between the operating system and hardware,it needsreasonable design and steady run.The paper uses the XJ128print-head and S3C2440A ashardware support,and the Platform Builder5.0and the windows CE5.0embedded operationsystem as software support.Firstly,the paper describes the research background,development status at home andabroad.Secondly,it describes the three elements of driver development,which arehardware,the working principle on target operating system and the model of the driver.Inthe part of hardware describes the XJ128print-head,SPI communication and PWMTimer inS3C2440,and designs the hardware connection scheme.In the part of working principle ofthe driver on WinCE describes the architecture of WinCE and the driver load, interrupthandling and the memory use on WinCE,and lists the main programs,also tells the powermanagement in WinCE. In the part of the driver model tells the working principle of thestream driver and the procedures of programming driver by using PB and the ways ofwriting images and the realization of key functions,also introduces the interface betweenstream driver and application and PWM driver.In the end,the paper summarizes the workand describes the future outlook.Finally,according to the hardware connection and through the measurement of theoscilloscope,the drivers conform to the sequential working of XJ128print-head,and theapplication could call the driver correctly.
