With the development of national economy, the demand for energy in almost everyarea is increasing! As the leading energy, the need for coal is rising day by day. Comparedto other industries, our domestic coal mine has poorer production equipment and itstechnical level also dropped behind. There’s a new research trend that calls for muchhigher production efficiency and factor of safety of underground transport system. Basedon this trend, this paper has designed a kind of system which is called “Signal Collectionand Closed System” to solve the problems.Before designing this system, we did repeatedly investigations on the idiographicenvironment of the coal mine. According to the investigation, we proposed the functionalrequirements of the system. Put the efficiency and factor of safety as the premise, theoverall scheme design was done. The system can realize underground vehicles’ real-timepositioning, remote monitoring of the switches and other functions like real-time voicecommunication between dispatch room and the vehicles.Firstly, wireless communication technologies like RFID were worked over and thevehicles’ wireless real-time positioning subsystem was designed. On condition that thereal position of the vehicle was clear and the transport system’s “Signal Collection andClose” was insured, then the scheduling scheme was made logically. The positioningsubsystem based on RFID was used in the “The3rdmine of Dong rong” practicalengineering. The subsystem has some field problems like stability, accuracy, economy andfunctional requirement.Secondly, to solve these problems, another technical scheme based on ZigBee wasproposed, in order to make up the limitation of RFID.Then, the underground switch control technology was studied. Network redundancytechnology was used in the underground switches network to make sure the reliability andaccuracy of the signal. The remote monitoring subsystem based on PLC was designed torealize the motion and condition monitoring of the switches.After all the subsystems were completely designed, the coal mine underground SignalCollection and Closed System’s technical scheme was done, too. Up to now, the systemhas been used in some domestic coal mine. The nice performance of the system shows thatit has improved the working efficiency and safety of the underground transport system.
