As a cationic softening agent, Ester quaternary ammonium salt softener not onlyhas excellent flexibility and good inhibition of yellowing,but also can bebiodegradable in the environment. In the environment, long carbon chain ester groupsare easy to break down into fatty acids and cationic metabolites, so it can not formatsolid particles and pollution the environment. As a green type of softener, it cancompletely replace the traditional two-18alkyl dim ethyl ammonium chloride softener.In addition, such high concentrations of softener are easy to product, savingpackaging and transportation cost. Consider of environmental and economic value, ithas a very broad market prospects. However, it is greatly restricted for yellowingphenomenon in white fabric. So, inhibition of yellowing softener problem is animportant practical significance.In this article, long chain ester amine was prepared by the reaction of stearic acidand triethanolamine, and a cationic softening agent was synthesis by quaternaryammonium salt of reagent. Finally, the optimized synthetic process of ester amine isthat the reaction temperature is180℃; the ratio of STA (stearic acid) and TEA(triethanolamine) is1.8:1; the catalyst p-toluenesulphonic acid content is0.15%; Thereaction time for5hours. The synthesis of quaternary ammonium salt respectively bymeans of propylene oxide chloride, dim ethyl sulfate, dim ethyl carbonate quaternaryas quaternary ammonium salt of reagent. Consider of quaternary ammonium salt color,soft properties and is processed the white degree of fabric index. Finally, choice dimethyl sulfate as the quaternary ammonium salt of reagent.Research of the self-made application performance of quaternary ammoniumsoftener, optimize the best softener dosage is15g/l and treatment technology: twoBaptist rolling, rolling over was75%)â†'pre-drying (100℃,5min)â†'baking(150℃,2min).Contest to FR-90which has good softener in market.
