Based on the Gongwusu mine, the paper used the methods of oretical analysis,numerical simulation and field test to study on the strata-pressure behavior and thestability of equipments. On this basis, it put forward the technical strategies to preventequipments from sliding and falling involving aspects such as controllling the stabilityof coal wall and tip to face, selection of equipments, technology of fully mechanizedtop-coal caving, devices of preventing sliding and falling, form of face arrangement, sitemanagement, etc.By the methods of numerical simulation and filed obserivation, the paper hadenduced that the space length of first and period strata behavior were35m and20mrespectively indicating that the roof pressurization was larger and the peak value of pilotsupport pressure was about12MPa which was8m in front of coal wall indicating thatthe pilot support pressure was strong. It also showed that middle-upper part of inclinedcaving face was pressed greatly causing rib spalling and end-face falling seriously. As aresult, it was difficult to prevent equipments from sliding and falling. By study onoretical analysis and UDEC numerical simulation, the implementing schemes of anchorand water injection to strengthen coal wall were given. It is beneficial to the stability ofthe coal wall and tip to face when the height of cutting was2.4m, the support strengthwas no less than0.5MPa, the working resistance was no less than5000kN, the depth-web was0.6m, and the drawing speed of working face should be accelerated. Byoretical calculation and analysis, equipments in1604working face were selected. Andthe main technical parameters of equipments in1604Greater inclined full-mechanizedcaving face were determined. The models of basic support, coal mining machine, andscraper conveyer were ZF6800/18/35/36H, MGTY450/1020-3.3D, and SGZ-960/1140.By the force analysis of equipments in inclined working face, the paper held that whenthe angle of woring face is more than12°, equipments will slide, and the single supportin Greater Inclined Full-Mechanized Caving Face must have devices of preventingsliding ang falling as side plate, four-bar linkage, etc. At the same time, the technicalmeasures of preventing sliding ang falling with the setting methods of the devices ofpreventing equipments from sliding and falling from the global aspect, implementingmethods and technical parameters of arc segment arrangement of working face, pseudo- inclined caving, advancing support working procedure and requirements, the way ofshearer cutting coal, the order of pushing and moving scraper conveyor, roof control inroof period weighting, etc. Considering the factors of the rate of top coal recovery andpreventing equipments from sliding and falling comprehensively, the paper held that thereasonable drawing interval was1.2m in1604working face, and piecewise sublevelcoal drawing should be taked.
