As the core of the control of CNC Engraving&Milling Machine,the CNC systemperformance directly determines the processing efficiency and quality of CNC Engraving&Milling Machine. And it plays a decisive role on cost-effective and market competitiveness ofCNC Engraving&Milling Machine. However, research and development of the currentdomestic CNC system is in the relatively poor cost-effective. So this thesis on the basis ofin-depth study of Engraving&Milling Machine CNC system, aims to develop an embeddedEngraving&Milling Machine CNC system,which has a good cost-effective and optimalsolution with offline look-ahead speed planning capabilities has a great practical significance.According to this goal, the following studies have been conducted:The CNC Engraving&Milling Machine has been designed. In order to achievehigh-speed and high-precision processing requirements, high-speed spindle and high-speedlinear feed system have been analyzed. By multi-comparative study, embedded numericalcontrol system hardware architecture based on ARM was selected for the advantages of lowcost, high reliability. Linux2.6.33+Xenomai2.5.3was Chose as software developmentplatform and hnc-arm SDK development kit for CNC system development.For the status of that online look-ahead can not achieve the global optimal solution of thespeed, A comprehensive study on the speed planning of offline look-ahead has beenconducted. Simulation comparative analysis has determined the feasibility and superiority ofthis program, which has very important significance for the high-speed and high precisionmachining.On the basis of the principles of HMI design,and analysis of the HMI system by UMLmodeling,the six modules of the CNC system was determined, including the programfunction, the coordinate set, interpolation tool, graphics dialogue programming, parametersetting and diagnosis function. By the use of the new message handling mechanism and menuinteractive configuration control mechanism a convenient and practical HMI system wasachieved.
