| Ladle temperature directly affects the level and stability of the temperature of molten steel during continuous casting, and then affects the quality and productivity of steel slab. There are role guidance on controlling molten steel’s temperature and reasonable operating rules during continuous casting to study on the ladle heat transfer model and the molten steel’s temperature variation under different operating conditions and parameters. Among the research of heat transfer model of ladle in steelmaking and continuous casting process, measuring method can not study on the temperature field of the ladle comprehensively because of limited measuring points. Mathematical analysis could not get accurate enough results and its calculation is large and complex. To avoid the situation above, numerical simulation of heat transfer model of ladle in steelmaking and continuous casting process was made in this paper using finite element software.Transfer models of100t ladle during empty ladle, holding and pouring stage were established in this paper, and numerical simulation was made using computer tools. Analysis on the steel ladle and the factors which do influence to the temperature drop of molten steel and its characteristics were done in this paper. First, the transfer conditions of molten steel and ladle in steelmaking and continuous casting process was analyzed, and the initial conditions and boundary conditions of ladle transfer model under different process conditions and the thermal physical parameters related were determined. Second, three-dimensional finite element model of the ladle and molten steel within was established using finite element software ANSYS, numerical simulation of temperature field of ladle and molten steel during empty ladle, holding and pouring stage was made to get the temperature distribution of ladle and molten steel. On this basis, the temperature distribution of ladle and molten steel ladle under different process conditions and operating parameters of the situation were calculated and the influence of different factors such as slag layer thickness, covering agent, empty time and ladle cap were analyzed by comparing the results calculated.The influence of empty time, slag layer thickness, covering agent and ladle cap to temperature drop of ladle and molten steel were analyzed in this paper, by studying on heat transfer model of ladle using numerical simulation. The results could provide valuable information for improving measure process and determining reasonable operational process. |
