Electro-fused magnesia is a kind of alkalescent fireproof material which possesses high purity, high melting-point and strong dense. It is widely used in many fields such as metallurgy industry, glass industry, cement industry, homely electric-heater and high-temperature chemical industry. The main approach for producing electro-fused magnesia is the electric-melting, and Electro-Fused Magnesia Furnace (EFMF) is currently one of the most widely used equipments in the industry of electro-fused magnesia production.In the Electro-fused magnesia smelting process, smelting current directly determines the stability of the thermal distribution of the furnace, while the magnesium oxide crystal growth and the furnace is closely related to the thermal distribution, so the stability of the fused melting current magnesium furnace improve the quality of the product has an important influence. The production of Electro-fused magnesia nonlinear, time variability and strong coupling as well as external disturbances to keep melting current fluctuations, resulting in products with high energy consumption, high quality product output is low, so to achieve stability of fused magnesium melting current control is important. Supported by the National Science and Technology Support Plan Program "Magnesium Industry Integrated Energy Saving Technological Innovation Project", a new-pattern control system of ESFM is designed and developed to realize automation control for the three-phase electrodes of ESFM. As well as, the new-pattern control system is successfully applied to the spot production.The main researches in this thesis are as follows:(1)For the exchange of Electro-fused magnesia smelting process electrode current poor stability, high energy consumption per unit of product, the traditional control methods can not achieve satisfactory control performance, the analysis of fused magnesium smelting process characteristics and control objectives, based on fuzzy control theory Fused magnesium smelting furnace operating conditions of the current stability of the normal control were studied.(2) Electro-fused magnesia smelting process for the complex condition, using intelligent switching control of fused magnesium furnace built intelligent switching control strategy.(3) Intelligent switching control strategy based on the above, designed to ATmega128microcontroller as the core of fused magnesium furnace intelligent switch controller. (4) The design and development of the fused magnesium furnace HMI system based on VB programming platform(5) The design of fused magnesium furnace intelligent switching control system for industrial testing, test results show that the premise of ensuring quality of products saves energy consumption per unit, made some of the social and economic benefits.
