As people’s living standard rising, the demand for textiles was showing a trend toreturn to natural, and the using of nature dye was carried out widely. However, thearticles related to natural dyes in domestic and foreign mostly only paid close attentionto single dye. To solve the problem of monotonous of the color of natural dye andexpand the range of natural dyes chromatography, this paper studied the dyeing ofmixture natural dyes on silk in one bath, and had made of natural pigment standardcolor card.In order to explore the feasibility of mixture natural dyes dyed in silk fabric, thispaper firstly studied the single dye’s dyeing process and gave some analysis.Taking themaximum absorption wavelength, the dye uptake, the K/S value of dyed fabric, thecolor fastness, etc. as the basis for evaluation, tested the affection of the pH value andthe temperature of dye solution to the dyeing of natural dyes on silk fabric, and testedthe enhance of the natural dye. The pH value and the temperature of different dyesolution had more influence to the dyeing of natural dyes on silk fabric. Saffronyellower dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from2to3.5and thetemperature from40to45℃. Gardenia yellow dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was:the pH value from3to5and the temperature from60to85℃. Purple sweet potatodyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from3to5and the temperaturefrom40to55℃. Chestnut shell dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH valuefrom3to4.5and the temperature from75to95℃. Purple cabbage dyeing fabric’s colorirregularity was: the pH value from4to6and the temperature from40to45℃. Redrice red dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from2.5to3.5and thetemperature from80to95℃. Tea tree fruit dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: thepH value from2to4and the temperature from80to95℃. Garden balsam pigmentdyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from2to3.5and the temperaturefrom80to95℃. Mulberry red dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from 3to4.5and the temperature from75to85℃. Cochineal carmine dyeing fabric’s colorirregularity was: the pH value from2.5to3.5and the temperature from45to70℃.Sorghum red pigment dyeing fabric’s color irregularity was: the pH value from2to4and the temperature from40to75℃. The results obtained above had provided a basisfor the choice of dyes, which was used in mixture dyes.Further studied the impact of the mordant iron and aluminum in the dyeing process, the result showed that the color of dyed fabric was related not only to the type of naturaldyes, but also to the type of the media. The mordant iron and aluminum had relativelylarge impact in the maximum absorption wavelength of gardenia yellow pigment dyedfabrics; the mordant iron had some impact in the maximum absorption wavelength ofcochineal carmine, saffron yellower, purple sweet potato and purple cabbage; themordant iron and aluminum had no impact in the maximum absorption wavelength ofgardenia blue and tea tree fruit. Mordant had certain impact in fabric colors which weredyed with natural dyes, for most natural dyes, the mordant aluminum made the lightnessof the dyed fabrics become higher and the mordant iron made lightness of the dyedfabrics become lower. The mordant iron and aluminum could make the shade of thedyed fabrics offset to green and blue.On the basis of preliminary studies, the author tried to using different natural dyesin one dye-bath in the suitable process conditions. The result showed that there weresome differences on the dyed fabric’ the maximum absorption wavelength, the K/Svalue and other color characteristic values, which were related to the proportion of theamount of different dyes. Compared to the direct mixed colors, we could find themordant aluminum had less impact to color characteristic value of the dyed fabric, andthe mordant iron had more impact to color characteristic value of the dyed fabric.
