The object of this study is “children’s role-play costume”, which is a phrase related to theword "role-playing" and also means a kind of clothing containing the meaning of an extensionconcept of “role-play”. It’s a research under the conditions of market segmentation, respondedto the requirements of the diversification of the product and rich features.Firstly, this paper analyzes the background of the subject and situation of the children’sclothing market, combined with domestic and foreign research, given the purpose andsignificance of this research, the content and methods of the paper are listed. Put forward thedefinition of children’s role-play costumes from related disciplines’theory.Secondly, based on data collection and cases analysis of domestic and international,introduced the constitution of role-playing apparel, including classification, occasions, themarket situation, then established the designing model. Again, aim at apparel productsversatile configuration with security perspective, launched the studies of the sensor control ofthe LED with clothing, completed the binding test of clothing and electronic components, anddiscussed the combination of the two parts and the effect of the program.Finally, presented this study’s mainly found, analyzed the deficiencies in the study andthe future direction of the subject.This paper completed the theoretical system construction of children’s role-playingapparel design and the combination of electronic components with clothing to enhance thefunctions of costumes. Discussed the approaches to promoting the functions within a singleproduct and enriching the categories of children’s costume, provided a reference for furtherstudy.
