Honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber is one of modified polyester fibers. By physical and chemical methods modified, this new fiber not only have such quick a moisture absorbing function but also can be dye by cationic dyes at normal temperature and at one atmosphere. The purpose of this paper is study the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s dyeing performance, from dyeing thermodynamics and dyeing kinetics two aspects.In the subject, choosing decentralized cationic blue GTL-ED, decentralized cationic red GL-ED and decentralized cationic yellow3RL-ED for studying honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s dyeing property. This job mainly contain two parts,one is drawing dispersed cationic dye to honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s adsorption isotherms and the other is drawing dispersed cationic dye to honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s dyeing rate curves. By measuring honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s staining thermodynamic parameters (including:the dyeing affinity, staining thermal and dyeing entropy) as well as the dyeing kinetics data (including:diffusion coefficient D, half dyeing time and dyeing rate constant K) obtain the dyeing mechanism hypothesis of honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber and research the dyeing properties of honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber. By the dyeing properties comparison of honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber and ordinary polyester fiber, highlighting the excellent performance of the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber.This issue gets honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber dyeing some basic data, through a large number of experimental studies, which make up the lack of honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber dyeing theoretical data. This research shows the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber dyeing mechanism hypothesis:honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fibers combine with decentralized cationic dyes, mainly by the ionic bond between the fiber and the dyes. The combination is a monolayer adsorption. The study of the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s dyeing theory provides some theoretical support. And the study can help to ascertain the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber’s dyeing process and help the further development of the honeycomb micro porous structure of the modified polyester fiber. This research can enabling the honeycomb micro porous structure modified polyester fiber textiles be further upgraded.
