Nowadays society, the people’s quality of life has become more and more higher,when they choose the clothing material not only by its appearance, more important isthat the comfortable feeling to the consumers when they get dressed, especially thesummer intimates, those clothes make the consumers feel refreshing and comfortable,will not sticky the skin and feel wet and stuffy. This kind of fabrics has received moreand more attention. The textile research organizations and experts among home andabroad have developed a lot of moisture absorbent and quick-dry fibers, in order toimprove the wearing comfortable to confirm to the world consumer market.Honeycomb microspore modification polyester fiber is a new type of functionalfiber, the use of special manufacturing techniques form microspore structure insidethe fiber, and introduced the sulfonic acid group and PEG soft segment to themolecular structure of the fiber, enhanced the moisture absorbing and releasing abilityof fiber, promoted the dyeing performance and feeling. This thesis has done systemtest and analysis to the structure and properties of the Honeycomb microsporemodification polyester fiber, exploiting the moisture absorbent and quick-drystrengths, in order to develop suitable products, expand its scope of application, thisdissertation will make a foundation for further research and development.Based on testing the fiber’s structure, physical and thermal properties,combustion performance and the dyeing performance, and compared with Coolplusfiber and polyester fiber. The honeycomb structure is the basic conditions of moistureadsorption and liberation, moisture regain is1.48%, mass specific resistance is1.3×108MΩ·g·cm-2, breaking elongation is increased, which greatly enhanced thespinnability of the fiber, main weight loss temperature is427.46℃, the thermal massloss rate is80.25%, the burning state is basically the same with polyester fiber,dissolved in boiling15%NaOH. Due to the sulfonic acid group, it can be dyed bycationic dye in atmospheric pressure.Using digital spinning system spin out seven honeycomb blended yarns, and tested their properties. The quality of yarn is gradually improved by increasing thehoneycomb fiber content. Especially can improve the yarn strength when blendedwith cotton, can reduce CV value, harmful hairiness, neps and other defects in yarns.Three knitted fabrics with similar specifications were knitted by honeycomb yarn,Modal yarn, TenA100yarn and cotton yarn. Testing and analyzing the mechanical andthermal-wet comfort properties. The result showing that, the knitted fabric byhoneycomb yarn, Modal yarn and TenA100yarn has outstanding performance. It canbe used to develop sports casual wear.
